Infection Control Training

From Society for Healthcare Epidemiology of America (SHEA) and BD

Overview

The novel coronavirus pandemic is putting our healthcare system under incredible strain and demonstrates just how vulnerable the world’s population is to infectious disease outbreaks. Minimizing risk of community and healthcare-associated infections (HAIs) to patients and staff remains an urgent need.

To reinforce appropriate infection prevention and control behaviors, SHEA and BD are pleased to announce the launch of the Prevention Course in HAI Knowledge and Control (Prevention CHKC). This online course has been developed with front line staff in mind. Consisting of concise, half-hour long modules, course participants will review the fundamentals of infection prevention, review best practices for the prevention of device-and pathogen-associated infections and improve understanding of disinfection and sterilization procedures.

To register, please visit www.PreventionCHKC.org.  Participants are encouraged to use code BDAccess when registering.
