CVD Prevalence

In the U.S., an estimated 175 million Americans are affected by Chronic Venous Disease (CVD). Risk of CVD increases with age, but can begin as early as adolescence. Visible venous disease is far more than a cosmetic problem.6,8,9  CVD is a progressive disease. Without treatment, signs and symptoms may worsen.7

One Catheter
More Solutions

The only dual heating length RF solution that has 42% more heating length using a single RF catheter when compared to the ClosureFast™ Catheter and its 7 cm heating length. This allows you to treat long and short refluxing vein segments with one device*.

Designed for Versatility
Engineered for Simplicity

Handle
  • 6F-RFAblation.jpg
Small, 6F profile helps to minimize invasiveness and offers flexibility to navigate tortuous anatomy
  • dual-heatingv2.jpg
Treat long and short refluxing vein segments with one catheter by switching between two heating lengths (2.5 cm and 10 cm)
  • curved-tip.jpg
Markings and curved tip help to ease navigation and positioning

How It Works

Treating Chronic Venous Disease with the Venclose™ RF Ablation Catheter

  • Card Image

Catheter delivers targeted heat along vein segments

  • Card Image

Heat then causes the diseased vein to shrink

  • Card Image

Catheter is easily removed, blood flow is redirected to healthy veins

Device

Identifies the catheter is plugged into the generator and indicates the active heating element length. Touch the image to toggle between the selectable heating element lengths (full-length heating is default - 10 cm).

Time

Displays the countdown timer for the energy delivery cycle, with digits and a shaped gauge.

Temperature

Displays the temperature of the catheter heating element, with digits and a shaped gauge.

Power/Total Energy

POWER displays the power and energy level that is being delivered to the heating element, with digits and a shaped gauge.

TOTAL ENERGY displays the sum of energy that has been delivered to the heating element in the current or most recent cycle.

Counter

The count of delivered energy cycles and the sum of the total treatment time, for the current catheter and procedure. Unplugging and re-plugging the catheter connector cable will re-zero these values.

Vessel History

Touch this icon to create a new history entry for treatment. Displays vessel count.

Settings
