Description
Since the U.S. National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) Alert on Preventing Occupational Exposure to Antineoplastic and Other Hazardous Drugs in Health Care Settings was released in 2004, there has been increased focus worldwide on HD safety. This educational activity will present experiences from practitioners globally as they have worked to develop guidelines and best practice recommendations for HD surface contamination monitoring. The faculty will discuss the process undertaken to develop the guidelines as well as highlight the specific recommendations made.
